A. GETTING SIGNED UP WITH COMMISSION JUNCTION (CJ) TUTORIAL

If you would like to sign up for Commission Junction, then here are the step-by-step instructions to signed up with Commission Junction:

 * Commission Junction’s sign up process is a little more involved, so we will give a more visual sign up tutorial.

Step 1: Go to Commission Junction’s sign up page HERE

12-24 You will be brought to this initial sign up page:

Step 2: Select your “Preferred Language,” your “Country,” and “Functional Currency,” then click “Next

12-24 This is the main sign up page. You will need to fill in all of your information to create an account with Commission Junction.

Step 3: We will point out some information that you will need to put when asked.

SERVICE AGREEMENT
Scroll down in the box of the Commission Junction Service Agreement until you see the “Accept” option.

Then check off the box below service agreement that option and it will check off that you have read and accepted Commission Junction Access Service Agreement.

CODE OF CONDUCT
Check off the code of conduct agreement

PRIVACY POLICY
Check off the privacy policy agreement

AGE CERTIFICATION
Check off the privacy terms and that you are over 18.

CERTIFICATE OF AUTHORITY
Check off this section as well.

SITE INFORMATION:

Web site or Newsletter Name: Here you will put “Data Affiliate Group Submissions”

Web site URL: You will enter the following Web site:

http://www.i-viral.com

Describe Your Web Site: Enter the following for Web site description:

“We Work with companies to complete data submissions and promotional methods based on the company’s subject matter.”

Category: Select any category of your choice or you are interested in, it will not make a difference when it comes to work with the companies.

Current Monthly Unique Visits: You will select the “Under 99K UV”

Define Your Promotional Methods: Check off the following: “Website / Content”

CONTACT/COMPANY INFORMATION

The remaining information is your personal and contact information which you can finish filling out. Use your personal name for the company name.

Step 4: After you have completed the sign up form, click the “Accept Terms” and your sign up will be submitted.

12-24 You have now finished the sign-up process for your Commission Junction account.

Step 5: Next you will next need to go to your e-mail to retrieve your username and password. The username will be the same as your e-mail address; your password will be pre-assigned by Commission Junction.

Make sure to save this e-mail to have easy access to your login information if you forget it.

You are now signed up with Commission Junction!

B. YOUR COMMISSION JUNCTION (CJ) ACCOUNT FEATURES TUTORIAL

Here are some of the features your Commission Junction account will provide:

To login to your Commission Junction account you will go to http://CJ.com, then select the “Login”

You can go directly to your Commission Junction account login HERE

Here is what your main Commission Junction account dashboard panel will look like:

On the Commission Junction main “Home” dashboard it will provide an overview of your earnings, some general announcements as well as a list of recent advertisers (companies) that have been added to the CJ network.

You will want to mainly focus on the following functions:

Account: Here you will want to manage your account settings for taxes, network profile and Website (which you don’t need a website as we provided you with one for your CJ account).

Administrative Settings – Here is where you will fill in all your personal details. Make sure to submit the needed tax forms which is done online or you won’t be able to receive payments.

IMPORTANT: BEFORE YOU CAN START WORKING WITH COMPANIES YOU WILL NEED TO FILL OUT YOUR ACCOUNT PROFILE AND WEBSITE INFORMATION

Network Profile – The network profile is what the companies will read if they are needing to manually approve you to promote their company.

Here is what to fill out for your Network Profile:

For the description in the ‘Network Profile’” you can put something like:

We deal in online data submissions through content marketing on various sources like native advertisements, blog postings, article submissions, website directories and other online content providers. We use natural organic search optimization along with our mentioned marketing to drive traffic our advertisers campaigns“.

For the ‘Promotion Methods‘, check off as we have shown in image above.

Website – You will not need a website as we provided you with one to get you signed up. All of the submissions you will be doing will be directly through posting sources and no website is needed.

Here is what to fill out for your Websites:

Advertisers: This is where you will go when you want to select a company to work with in our Global Data Entry program. We will show you how to find the companies and get your pay code/hoplinks for the companies you select in the next section of training.

Links: This is where you will get your pay code links that is used for the companies you are promoting. The pay code link is how the companies will track your submissions. We will be going over exactly how to get your pay code links, how they are used and where to post them to get paid as we go along with the Global Data Entry program.

Reports: The reports will give you detailed analysis and earnings for each company you earn money with in CJ.

Mail: CJ will give you an internal mailbox so you can keep in touch with merchants/advertisers directly as well as approvals and special offers by advertisers that are seeking you to post submissions for them.

You don’t need to worry about the “Widgets” and “Pay Per Call” features as that will not pertain to what you will be doing with the Global Data Entry program.

C. HOW TO FIND COMPANIES TO PROMOTE IN COMMISSION JUNCTION (CJ) ACCOUNT TUTORIAL

Here is how you will locate the companies within your Commission Junction account:

When you are logged into your Commission Junction account, you will first select the “Advertisers,” as shown in illustration below:

You will see a list of all the companies available through Commission Junction for you to promote.

You will have two options to refine your search to find the companies of your choice:

1. Search: You can search for by an advertiser name and/or specific keywords (i.e. computers)

2. Categories: You can refine your search by selecting a category of interest.

We will explain in the next section on what everything means that is presented by each company.

D. SELECTING COMPANIES AND GETTING PAY CODE/HOPLINK FOR EACH CJ COMPANY TUTORIAL

Here is how to select companies and get special pay code tracking links within your Commission Junction account:

In the last section we had shown you how to locate the companies in Commission Junction pay administrative account. If you have followed those directions to locate companies you will be brought the the Commission Junction promotion marketplace.

We will explain how the marketplace will present the companies and campaigns and explain what everything means.

 

12-24 Here is the marketplace and the definitions of what you are viewing:

A. Company or Campaign Description: Here will list the company details and campaign details. Usually they will give a brief description of product or service they sell along with a pitch to you to promote.

B. Network Earnings: This is the average of network earnings for all the people promoting this particular product. The higher the green bar, the more people on network are earning for this company or campaign.

C. EPC (Earnings Per Campaign): The only concern is the last line. This is what you will be paid for each successful data submission.

The possible payments for earnings will be as followed:

1. Sale %: This will pay a fixed % of sale amount of company’s product.

2. Lead $: This will pay a fixed $ amount of a lead to the company’s product or website.

3. Per Click: You will be paid for just a click on your pay code link and no sale or lead is needed to earn.

D. Get Link: Once you have joined a particular company or campaign, this will be highlighted for selection. This is what you will click to get the pay code link for that company or campaign to post in your data submissions.

E. Join Program +: To select a company or campaign, click the + to join their program.

 

12-24 When you have decided on a company to promote, click on the “+” link:

Once you click  the + (Join Program) button you will get a notice of your approval status right away.  Some will automatically approve you and some will manually approve you.

Once you are approved whether automatically or manually, the company will be automatically listed under your “Link” section in your Commission Junction pay administrative account.

You can also use the “Advertisers” link, then filter a search by “My Advertisers (Active)” and get a list of your current companies you will be able to submit your data submissions for.

 

12-24 Once you have approved companies, you will them displayed as follows:

To get your pay code link for the selected company, you will first click on the “Get Links” button

 

12-24 You will then be presented the code page as shown on this page:

You will then click the “Get Code” button

 

12-24 A code box will then slide down and look like this:

You will then select the “Click URL” button and your unique pay code link will be displayed in the box below that button.

Copy and paste your assigned pay code link to a Notepad or Wordpad file and save it to your desktop.

* If no “Click URL” button is provided, then click the “HTML” and just copy the pay code link from that code.

In the next section of Global-Data-Entry training we will show you how to do the research required for the company you have selected through Commission Junction which will be needed along with your pay code link to use in your data submission postings.
